Rise and Resist - A poem of awakening

There was no ballot for preservation
Because that was an illusion
When they burned the remains of your sanctuary there was nowhere safe to go
We are the fury you've been missing in your life
The vibration of thunder under your feet and
The pulse of trauma you feel in your skin
You hide beneath your slumber
Unaware of what reaches for you when you sleep
They say, "We are all the above,
Salute our devotion."
I tell you, trust what I say, for I know the nature of darkness
Ready to devise
Wreckage
Be brave wise bird
Resurrect your intuition
And set fire to your trauma
Rise and Resist
